Twenty-Seven

Psychological thriller | 2021 | Story by and Director

Production background: Twenty-Seven was produced through a Netflix-funded filmmaking initiative delivered by Fully Focused Productions.

I developed the original story, pitched the project and was selected to receive funding to make the film. I then worked with screenwriter Anthony Ray Caballero to develop the screenplay before directing the production. The film grew from a question about ambition: what might someone be willing to sacrifice for fame, recognition or success? By placing the mythology of the 27 Club within contemporary London, we wanted to explore that idea through friendship, temptation and the fear of being left behind.
